Our Mission
Precious de Bruin Foundation is involved in safe guarding orphans by addressing the emotional, spiritual, and social concerns that arise in the childrens' lives.
We partner with like-minded organisations, individuals, and companies to advocate and campaign for a better quality of life for these children.
Aiding orphans off the streets, lobbying as a facilitator for the delivery of much needed aid for children affected by:
▪︎ the death of their parents or carers
▪︎ extreme poverty
▪︎ illness
▪︎ disease
▪︎ rape
▪︎ disability
▪︎ mental health issues
▪︎ homelessness
▪︎ displacement
▪︎ lack of schooling
▪︎ abuse of any kind
We work together with headteachers, school principles, volunteers, individuals, organisations, physicians, chaplains, social workers, and other allied health professionals in advising and formulating a plan of care to relieve suffering in all areas of a child's life.
Our Vision
Aiding orphans off the streets, lobbying as a facilitator for the delivery of much needed aid for orphans and vulnerable children affected by homelessness, disability, mental health issues, tuberculosis, other illness, abuse and any other aid required concerning the childrens’ well-being.
Our work is a mixed bag of challenges.
Our immediate initiative, Phase 1, is to adopt a pathway that achieves the following:
• Getting orphans off the streets (into residential schools or orphanages)
• PdB Foundation Scholarships (tuition, uniforms and books provided and paid for)
• PdB Foundation Food Programmes & Breakfast Clubs
• PdB Foundation Sanitary Packs (Girl Back Packs)
Phase 2 is about creating a stable home life for every child under Precious de Bruin Foundation.
• Creating homes led and run by highly trained, skilled, qualified, vetted and caring godmothers, healthcare workers and child therapists.
• Placing PdB Children in thoroughly vetted homes through fostering, adoption or as foreign students.
Phase 3 is about equipping and empowering PdB Foundation children to contribute as valuable members of society by offering on-going mentoring and peer support.
Assisting with jobs, business start ups, housing and integrating independently into society.
Our Volunteers
Our team is made up of dedicated individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the world. From our volunteers to our board members, everyone at PdB Foundation is committed to our mission and the children we serve.
PdB Foundation is a springboard to access opportunities that would not have otherwise been present in these children’s lives.
Without our dedicated and selfless volunteers, our work would be more challenging and almost impossible.
Their hard work, shared passion and vision for our kids, makes our continued work achievable.
